What is Meals on Wheels?

Each May, we have the privilege of partnering with the Gillespie Center for the Meals on Wheels program!  We have been able to deliver meals and pray with dozens of shut-ins in our community over the past few years, and we are thrilled to be able to do it again this year!

We Need You!

Several people who have faithfully volunteered for Meals on Wheels over the last few years have become unable to serve because of major health needs or because they have gone home to be with the Lord. Will you consider filling their shoes, and continuing their ministry? We would love for you to join us in this unique ministry to Prattville’s shut-ins!

What do volunteers do?

On the day you would like to volunteer, plan to arrive at the Gillespie Center (332 Doster Rd) by 11:00am. Pull up to the loading area on the left side of the building and enter the blue door. You will receive meals (usually 10-12 meals) and a book of addresses in the order that they are to be delivered. After delivery is complete, return coolers to the Gillespie Center.

Can you sign up for multiple days?

Yes! You can volunteer for as few or as many days as you would like! You can also volunteer to be an alternate if someone is unable to deliver on the day they volunteered for.
