Biblical counseling is committed to the position that the Scriptures (the Bible) provide the only sufficient and authoritative guide for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). This differs from other forms of popular or secular counseling because the primary goal is to search and apply God’s word to the believer’s life so that he or she may glorify God with their lives (1 corinthians 10:31; 2 Corinthians 5:9; 2 Timothy 3:16-17).

The biblical counselors at Camellia have received extensive training in the use of Scripture and how to apply biblical principles (Colossians 1:28). Thus, we believe biblical counseling is uniquely qualified to deal with all of life’s problems including, but not limited to marriage conflicts, financial crisis, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, struggling children and teens, and other issues that may result from life crisis, the sin of others, personal sin, or a lack of biblical understanding. We believe God’s word is needed to guide individuals through all of life’s problems, and that people can change to have a healthy walk with Jesus Christ (John 17:17; Romans 8:28-29, 12:1-2; Ephesians 4:17-5:20).
